Reorganization

Tronox and certain of its subsidiaries on Jan. 12, 2009, filed voluntary petitions to restructure under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy code. The filing will allow the company to facilitate a financial restructuring to maximize value and strengthen operations. Operations are continuing without interruption, and during the restructuring period the company will remain focused on continuing to provide customers with quality products and unsurpassed service.

The filing does not include Tronox’s operations outside of the U.S., which are based in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands.
